What Happens In A Class?

 
     
  YogAdenia’s Program
Each class starts with breathing exercises followed by asanas (yoga poses) and/or yoga games. Themes for classes range from anatomy to peace and environmentalism. All classes end with breathing exercises, and guided visualizations can be included in longer sessions.
 
  1. 60 min introductory class including guided visualization for staff

  2. Weekly 30 min sessions for Pre-school age children

  3. Weekly 45-60 min sessions for elementary age

  4. Weekly 60 min sessions for 7th and 8th grade

  5. Weekly 60–90 min sessions for high school

  6. 60 min private group and family events (optional)

 

Handouts are available for students, staff and/or parents:

  1. Sample introduction practice, book list, bio and tips on creating a home practice

  2. Monthly or weekly 4 page newsletters about children’s yoga

  3. Puzzles, mandalas and other fun activities for playing with yoga

Required for class

  1. Clean, open space for children to move about; electric source for music; control of lighting and ventilation preferred

  2. At least one participating adult, preferably scheduled teacher and/or assistant

  3. Registration form w/health questionnaire for all participants
